Core Instructor Course Information
DATES:
All instructors must attend an Update this year.
The Official AHA Certificates of Update Attendance must be in Instructor Files (one certificate for each discipline)
All instructors must teach the new material beginning July 1, 2006
Until you have actually attended the rollouts and have the new teaching material (books, videos, etc.,) you cannot teach the new information.
You must have the current Instructor Manual, Student Manual and specific course video or dvd to teach all classes
All rosters should be submitted within 15 days of course completion date. After 30 days we reserve the right to deny card processing
Cards will not be processed for old courses taught after July 1, 2006
The Upstate EMS Council Training Center has scheduled the following days for Update sessions:
July 7, Friday, 9am (BLS only)
July 14, Friday, 9am (BLS/ACLS/PALS)
July 15, Saturday, 9am (BLS only)
July 18, Tuesday, 9am (BLS/ACLS/PALS)
August 5, Saturday, 9am (BLS only)
To help you prepare for the Rollout, go to the AHA website www.americanheart.org for an overview of the changes before you come to the Rollout.

Core Instructor Course Update
For those of you who have already attended the update, there has been a change in who will be required to take the Core Instructor Course.
Only new instructors, Regional Faculty and Training Center Faculty will be required to complete the Core Instructor Course.
If you would like more information, or would like to take the course, it will begin shipping on July 31. To order it, contact your Training Center.
